AI consulting · Serving clients worldwide

AI solutions architecture, from the first assessment to a system in production.

We work out where AI actually pays off in your business, design the system properly, and stay accountable for whether it changed anything — then train your people to run it without us.

The gap

The gap isn't AI talent. It's the seat between the business and the build.

Most AI work stalls somewhere between a demo that impressed everyone and a system anyone uses in production. Closing that gap takes someone who can read a P&L and a data flow in the same meeting — and who stays accountable for whether it worked.

The short version, on the home page

  1. Business side first Two decades on the business side of enterprise IT, including in the CIO's office of a global technology company. We start with the workflow, the cost and the stakeholders — not the model.
  2. Architecture that gets built Every recommendation is tested against our own builds: the agents and apps in NexusPoint Labs ship publicly. If we can't demonstrate it working, we don't recommend it.
  3. Delivery you can govern PMP, BRMP and ITIL habits applied to AI — scope, risk, adoption, evaluation criteria, and a handover that leaves the capability in-house.

What we do

Three pieces of work. Take the one you need.

They run in sequence for most clients, but each stands on its own — and each one ends with something you own.

01 / Assess

AI opportunity assessment

We work through your operation workflow by workflow and find where AI actually pays off — scored for value against effort, risk and the quality of the data behind it. You get a sequenced roadmap rather than a wish list: what to do first, what to leave alone, and what each move will take.

What you own at the end: an assessment report and a prioritised roadmap, specific enough to fund, delegate and hold someone accountable for.

02 / Architect

Solution & agent architecture

For the use cases worth building, we design the system: where the models sit, how data moves, how the agent plugs into tools you already run, where a human checks the work, and what happens when it gets something wrong.

What you own at the end: a reference architecture and build plan — platform and model choices, integration points, privacy and security boundaries, and a build-versus-buy recommendation with the trade-offs stated plainly.

03 / Govern & enable

Governance, adoption & enablement

An AI system nobody trusts is an expensive demo. We put the guardrails in first — what AI may touch, what must stay human, how output quality is judged — then train your people to run and extend it.

What you own at the end: acceptable-use and data rules fitted to your organisation, evaluation criteria that prove the thing works, and a trained team — because the capability should stay in-house when we leave.

How an engagement runs

Five steps — and you can stop after any of them.

Most clients start with the assessment and stop there. That's a legitimate ending: we'd rather you buy a roadmap that saves you money than a build you didn't need.

Book a free consultation

  1. Free consultation A conversation about the problem, the constraints and whether we're the right people for it. No charge, no pitch deck.
  2. Scoped assessment A fixed-fee piece of work with one clear question: where does AI pay off here, and what would it take? You keep the roadmap either way.
  3. Architecture & design The system designed in enough detail to build, cost and approve — including the risks and the parts that might not work.
  4. Build — or hand over We build the agents ourselves, or hand your team a blueprint they can implement. Both are normal endings.
  5. Enable & measure Training, guardrails and the measures that answer "what changed?" — then we get out of the way.

NexusPoint Labs

We don't just advise on AI. We build it.

NexusPoint Labs is where the tooling actually gets made — practical, self-hosted AI software that solves everyday problems. It's the same engineering discipline we bring to client engagements, and it's public proof that the recommendations come from someone who ships.

Who this is for

Engagements where the business and the build have to meet.

We're a small practice by choice. The work suits organisations that want a system they can run and govern, not a pilot that quietly dies after the invoice.

  1. Operations and service teams Repetitive, rules-based work that is expensive to staff — and where a wrong answer has a real cost.
  2. Teams told to "do something with AI" You have direction from the top and nothing concrete on the page. We turn that into a scoped, defensible plan.
  3. IT and data groups under pressure We design with the team that has to run the thing afterwards, not around them.
  4. Privacy-sensitive work Where data can't leave your infrastructure, self-hosted models and human-in-the-loop designs come first.

Questions we get

The four things clients ask first.

Anything else, ask on the call — it's free and there's no funnel to walk through.

  1. Do you work with clients outside Canada? Yes. Most of our clients are in the United States and the United Kingdom, with the rest across Canada. Engagements run remotely — we work around your time zone and your meeting rhythm, with on-site visits in the Greater Toronto Area where that helps.
  2. Do we need our own AI or data team to work with you? No. We design for the team you actually have. Where you have an IT or data group, we design with them rather than around them, and we train as we go so the capability stays in-house.
  3. Where does our data go? Where it matters, nowhere. Privacy-first means your data stays on infrastructure you control — self-hosted models and local processing instead of shipping your information to third-party services.
  4. How does an engagement start, and what does it cost? It starts with a free consultation. If there's a fit, the first paid step is a scoped assessment on a fixed fee, so you know the number before committing to anything larger. After that, engagements run fixed-fee or on a flexible contract.
